The non-profit Faialense Sport Club in Cambridge is a private “member’s club,” which definitely sets it apart from restaurants in the Boston area. While the menu shifts to accommodate specials and seasonal requests, members enjoy drinks from a fully-stocked bar and enjoy programs on a large-screen television.
Live music is also occasionally featured, and there’s banquet hall space if needed. Recent menu favorites include Lomhinhos do Porco, Shrimp Mocambique, rabbit and octopus.
Oh, and about that menu – half of it is in Portuguese, so be careful when ordering. Portions are on the bigger side here, which is just fine with us
